East Riding of Yorkshire council have been running the Walking for Health scheme since 2003. It is a joint venture between the countryside access team and sports development. Currently there are 9 sites across the East Riding running the schemes with over 25 led walks per month.
The walks are designed to cater for everyone from the experienced walker to the complete beginner, with every walk having a walk leader and back marker. All walks are pre planned and risk assessed to ensure full safety for our walkers.
If you are wanting a new challenge or just want to get out in the fresh air and meet lots of new friends then feel free to come and join our walks, no booking is necessary and there are free teas and coffees after each walk.
