Gnosall Healthy Walking Group/HELP [Healthy Exercise for Leisure & Pleasure] - West Midlands

The Group consists of a good number of qualified walk leaders, and at present leads three walks per month. The Sunday walk caters for the more serious walkers, and and a morning walk on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, as an introduction to healthy walking.

We have forty-six printed walks, available from the local surgery, or the co-ordinator. The walks are graded Levels 1 -3, and Colour Coded: Green (Easy), Blue (Moderate) and Red (Serious) and cover the greater Stafford area, with more in the process of production, and with an ongoing programme for the future.

A number of our walks are wheelchair friendly, and are of therapeutic value. A number of walks are also available for blind users.

We also do one to one walks with people who have had heart attacks or strokes.
