Accredited SchemePortsmouth: Walking Friends - South East

The aim of our scheme is to improve health and wellbeing of the citizens through Healthy Eating, Exercise, Walking, Music and Friendship.

Our walks

3 venues in the City:

Tuesday from Baffins Community Centre at 1030 (Westover Road)2 and 3 mile walk. Refreshments afterwards
Wednesday from Eastney Community Centre, Bransbury Park, Milton Road at 1030 2 and 3 miles walk. Refreshments afterwards
Thursday from Southsea Community Centre St Pauls Road at 1030 2 and 3 mile walk. Suitable for buggies.  Refreshments afterwards

Thursday afternoon from Eastney Community Centre, Bransbury Park at 2,00 2 and 3 mile walk

1 short country walk (6miles) once a month (transport provided subject to funding).
1 long country walk once a month no transport provided

 Scheme run entirely by volunteers

Events

Full social programme including skittles,barn dances, quiz nights. Coach trips to a variety of venues, holidays on Isle of Wight.

Members of the Group also belong to a Tai Chi Group and a Choir
