Our walks

Walk On is a programme of short health walks designed to increase the health of local people. The walks are set in different locations and on different days, and are aimed primarily at people who do little or no exercise. All walks are led by trained walk leaders and last between 20 - 60 minutes (average 30 minutes).

Call the contact number for an up to date copy of the walks programme.

All walks are free and we aim to encourage brisk walking as the ideal form of exercise. However all participants are encouraged to 'go at your own pace', so don't worry about not being fit enough. All you need to do is turn up at the time and place stated on the programme.

The main aim of the scheme is to improve people's health and fitness, and along the way to get some fresh air, enjoy a chat and have some fun with like minded people.

So whatever your goal, whether you are trying to reduce your blood pressure, reduce your weight or stress levels, control your diabetes, or just 'feel better', why don't you join us on the road to improved health.
