Our walks
The 'Get Yourself Lively ... Walking' scheme was introduced to St Helens in April 2001. Since then we have organised a variety of health walks all over St Helens, giving people the choice of either walking in the comfort of their own local area, or travelling to different parts of St Helens and meeting new people.
The scheme is blessed with a variety of volunteer walk leaders including local retired people, rangers and members of community groups.
The walks range between 1 and 6 miles ensuring that we accommodate for those who are not used to regular exercise as well as experienced walkers. The short walks are an ideal way for people to make new friends whilst improving their own health and well-being.
