The Let's Walk Project has developed this programme of walks with the aim of encouraging more people to enjoy the health benefits of walking and to have some fun!!

We have a new Step-O-Meter guide for walks ranging from 30 mins  - 1 hour, full of useful motivational tips. 

We have walks which range from 30 mins - 1 hour for beginners or walks of up to 2 1/2 hours for those after more of a challenge.

All walks are led by Volunteer Walk Leaders and are FREE

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for the conditions. 

If you have medication please bring this with you.

If you are diabetic please bring a sugary drink.

Our walks

Let's Walk

Walks in Nelson -

Every Monday - Meet ACE Foyer 10.00 am.  We have a chioce of two walks, one for 30 minutes and the other for one hour.  Both are great if you have not walked in a while and are looking to get into walking again.

Tuesday Step Walks - Meet various locations for a walk of 2 hours at a moderate pace 10.00 am.  Will include off road walkin, stiles and easy hills 

Every Tuesday - Meet Silverman Hall Foyer 11.00am.  A weekly walk of 45 minutes.  Please note this is a ladies only walk - no men allowed!

Tuesday Marsden Meander - a walk in partnership with Age Concern.  2.00 pm from Williams Hall, Barkerhouse Road Nelson.  One hour beginners walk.  After walk refreshments provided £1

Walks in Earby -

Every Monday.  Meet at 10.30 am outside Earby Council Shop, Victoria Road.  This is a one hour walk ideal for beginners.  Some footpaths can be muddy so please wear suitable footwear. 

Walks in Brierfield -

Every Wednesday - Meet inside Brierfield Community Centre 10.30 am ladies only! Walk for one hour at a steady pace

Walks in Colne -

Every Monday- Meet Pendle Leisure Centre Foyer, Colne 1.00 pm.  This is a new walk to complement our longer walk, it will be at a steady pace, mostly flat and last bone hour. 

Every Wednesday - Meet in various locations at 1.30 pm.  A weekly walk of up to an hour and a half taking in off-road walking and easy hills.

Walks in Barrowford and Nelson-

Every Thursday - Meet in various locations at 10.00 am.  A weekly walk of up to 2 and a half hours.  Includes off-road walking and hills.

Lunchtime walk - A led lunchtime walk by Pendle Borough Council staff.  Meet outside No.1 Market Street 12.30 - 1.00 pm brisk pace. 

Every Thursday - Let's Walk the Nature Reserves, meet in differnet places Nelson and Colne.  Listen to a talk from the Wildlife Trust along the way. 1.30 pm 45 mins - 1 1/2 hours. 

Every Friday - Meet10.30 am at Age Concern Walton Lane Centre.  A walk of one hour for those suffering from early stage Dementia.

 

Murders in Colne - Join us on this Halloween theme walk exploring the murderous history of Colne.  The walk will last one hour and finish with pie and peas.  Meet Colne Library at 7.00 pm.
