Accredited SchemeLiverpool: Walk for Health - North West

Last updated 05 January 2010

Our walks

Walk for Health, Liverpool was launched in April 2002, when Ricky Tomlinson, star of television's Royle Family, came along to promote the walk to real-life Jim Royles.

Walk for Health has a programme of short, easy, led walks for people of all ages, ability and fitness levels and are ideal for people who have not previously been active.

All walks are led by qualified walk leaders, one at the front and one at the back so don`t worry about keeping up with anyone else! The walks last approximately 1 hour and are no longer than 2 miles in length but you can stop and start as much as you like and even leave the walk at any point should you wish.

Dog's are welcome but must be on a lead and please remember your pooper scoop!

Walks are held in Parks and Open spaces all over Liverpool and with 13 walks per week, daytimes, evenings and weekends, there should should be one near you at a time you like.

Most walks offer FREE refreshments to warm you up in winter or cool you down in summer, we have a Cook & Taste session at our Calderstones walk and all walkers can also gain a FREE 3 MONTH GYM pass to use at any of the 15 Lifestyle Gym's in the City simply by accessing 5 walks (Terms & Conditions apply).

So, if you're looking to improve your health, get back to fitness after illness or injury, or just want to meet new people and see new places, why not come along and see how easy it is!
