Enjoying a summer sunset walk

Our walks

Gentle walks in the Furness area designed to provide a weekly opportunity for exercise for groups of people.

Walk length about 1.5 miles, time usually 50 minutes.

Starting points are:

Mondays: Dalton Tudor Square 11:00am - walks round the old town

Tuesdays: Barrow ASDA foyer 11:00am - Channelside walk

Wednesdays: Walney Mill Lane Sure Start Cafe 11:00am - Walney Shoreline Walks

Thursdays: 10.00am Walney walks for Mill Lane Day Centre

Greengate Street Sure Start Cafe 10:30am - Barrow Park walks

Fridays: Ulverston Rose Garden, Victoria Rd 11:00am - 5 different 1 hour led walks

Longer (2.5hr) summer sunset walks will start on 1st May from Walney West Shore carpark at 6.45pm. Thursdays weekly until September.

Trained leaders will meet you on arrival at the starting point.
Pocket packs with details of 16 independent walks at a similar level to the led walks available from Barrow TIC and the Cumbria CVS Office. See address below.
