Events
Abbey Greenway
2km of smooth tarmac 2.5m wide, following the Red Waters from Flass Meadow to Furness Abbey. It opens up a whole new off road walking and cycling route from Roose to Dalton. The route is open to walkers and cyclists. Users are requested to keep any dogs on leads as the greenway passes through farmland.
The Abbey Mill cafe is open every day in the amphitheatre serving hot drinks, cakes and Hawkshead beer!
Try a circular route down from Rating Lane to the Abbey, along the Greenway to Roose, then back up Flass Lane and Rating Lane to your starting point. About 1.5 hour.
