Copeland- Get Walking - North West

Get Walking offers led walking activities targeted at people living in South Whitehaven and Cleator Moor, but also open to people living in the surrounding area.  Training and support is offered to volunteers wanting to become involved.  Our vision is that a number of sustainable walking groups will be set up within the next three years.

Our walks

Tuesday 1-1.30 from The Copeland Centre, Catherine Street, Whitehaven

Tuesday 2.00-2.30 Mirehouse Library Walk

Tuesday 5.15-5.45 Slimmers' Walk from Cleator Moor Civic Hall

Tuesday 6.15-6.45 Evening Walk from Anna's Creperie on Whitehaven Harbour

Thursday 10.15-10.45 Walk from the bus stop outside West Cumberland Hospital

Thursday 12-12.30 Lunchtime Walk from Square Bites (formerly Country Larder), Main Street, Cleator Moor

Thursday 2.00-2.30 Kells Library Walk

Also free monthly Family Minibus Walks from South Whitehaven and Cleator Moor to the Lake District and surrounding area.

Also monthly weekend health walks in South Whitehaven and Cleator Moor.

Events

Monday 25th January Volunteer Walk Leader Training Day at Cleator Moor

Saturday 16th January Free Family Walk at along Ennerdale Water.  Free transport from South Whitehaven and Cleator Moor.  Gentle two hour (two mile) walk and optional coffee stop at Ennerdale Bridge afterwards.
