Darlington Doorstep Walks is a walking scheme ran in and around Darlington. There are a variety of walks for all abilities.

Our walks

Middleton st George Walks - walks are individually assessed dependent upon walkers' abilities. All walks start at 1:30pm starting points listed below:

August 12th - Fighting Cocks Pub

August 19th - Devonport Hotel

August 26th - Fighting Cocks Pub

September 2nd - Fighting Cocks Pub

September 9th - Devonport Hotel

September 16th - Fighting Cocks Pub

September 23rd - Fighting Cocks Pub

September 30th - Devonport Hotel

Darlington One Life Health Walks (GP Referral Scheme) every Thursday 10am start at The Dolphin Centre Reception.

Age Concern Walks run every second Monday of the month, starting from a wide variety of places around Darlington. For more information contact Rachael Pringle on 01325 254370 or Age Concern on 01325 362832                                                                              

Lakeside Lodge Walks (1 hour) every Tuesday 1:15pm start around South Park, meet at Lakeside Lodge. These walks are for people with Learning Disabilities, however they are open to the community. For more information please contact Rachael Pringle on 01325 254370

Prambles Walks

Mount Pleasant Children's Centre Parents and pushchair walks are starting Friday 27th February, running weekly. 12:45 meet at Mount Pleasant Children's Centre for 1pm start. All walks are 1 hour.

McNay Street Children's Centre Parents and pushchair walks are starting Wednesday 4th March, running weekly. 1:15 meet at McNay Street Children's Centre for a 1:30pm start. All walks are 1 hour.

More Prambles walks will be starting at various localities throughout February. For more information please contact your local Children's Centre or Rachael on 01325 388193

Parent and Child Walk Saturday 6th September from North Road Primary School, Main Gates on Pendleton Road South. 9:45 meet for 10am start. Walk will last 1 hour. NO DOGS. If you would like more information please contact Rachael on 01325 388193. 

Maindendale Community Walk starting 9th April running weekly.  Meet at Maindendale Community Centre for a 2pm start. The walk will last for 1 hour. If you require any more information please contact Rachael Pringle on 01325 388193 or Jess Cheesman on 01325 388719.

West Park Community Walk 8th April meet in White Heifer Pub Car Park for 10am. Walk will last around 1 hour and will incorporate the lovely West Park Nature Reserve. For more Information contact Rachael Pringle on 01325 388193 or Pippa Smaling on 01325 388648.

Women out Walking, this walking group is 40+ and for women only. Walk meets fortnightly, next walk 29th April meet 11:30 at High Force Hotel, this will be an 8 mile walk.
