Natural England’s Walking for Health (WfH) encourages you to enjoy your local natural spaces and benefit your health by taking part in health walks. We’re the largest national body promoting and setting the standards for led health walks.
Find more information about what Natural England does.

WfH (previously known as WHI) aims to encourage people, particularly those who take little exercise, to do regular short walks in their communities. We support over 590 local health walk schemes – find your nearest using our Walk Finder.

Healthy walking = active travelHealthy walking = active travel »»
Active Travel is all about getting from place to place by using health-enhancing physical activity. Whether it’s to the shops, to work, to school or to visit friends and family, walking is one of the best ways to do this. Health walks are an ideal place to start because they give walkers confidence and knowledge about local routes. Read about individuals and businesses that have built active travel into their daily routines.
